Travel Documents and Requirements
Proper documentation is essential for your cruise vacation. Make sure you have the correct documents well before your departure date to avoid any travel delays.
Passport Requirements
For the best travel experience, we strongly recommend a valid passport:
- Valid for at least 6 months beyond your cruise return date
- Required for all international cruises
- Recommended even for closed-loop cruises (departing and returning to same US port)
- Expedited passport processing available through US State Department
- Children of all ages need their own passport
Alternative Documents for US Citizens
For closed-loop cruises, you may use:
- Certified birth certificate (issued by state/county) PLUS government-issued photo ID
- Certificate of Naturalization PLUS government-issued photo ID
- Enhanced Driver's License (available in select states)
- Trusted Traveler Program cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
Note: Hospital birth certificates and photocopies are NOT accepted.
International Guests
Non-US citizens must have:
- Valid passport from country of citizenship
- Valid US visa (if required for your nationality)
- Proper documentation for re-entry to the United States
- Any required visas for ports of call
